About the Catalog
Use the Suffolk/Moakley Archives Research Tool (SMART) to search across the thousands of documents, photographs, oral histories and objects contained within the archival collections of the Moakley Archive and Institute. The catalog contains a selection of digital material but search results are primarily lists of records in the collection to help guide further research at the Archive. For help using the catalog, please consult the Search Tips or contact the Archives.

Options for Searching the Catalog:

• University Records Search: limits search to Suffolk University materials
• Special Collections Search: limits search to manuscript collections (Moakley Papers, Archer Papers, etc.) and oral history interviews
• Global Search: searches all collections
• Digitized Materials: to see only digitized material add "AND digitized" to search term
